Growing populations, trends such as urbanization, and a historic lack of spending on essential infrastructure projects in developing countries, have contributed to making effective waste disposal an ever greater problem.
Together with our local contacts and existing members who are aware of the challenges and possible solutions, we are evaluating opportunities for IngOG+’s involvement in a new project in Mauritania. Building additional waste incinerators will bring further disadvantages such as reduced air quality, and so alternative solutions must be tested for feasability.
