Hospital extension for Gynaecology & Obstetrics

In the rural regions of southern Nepal, on the border with India, a large part of the population lives without access to medical care. The rapidly rising birth rate is already pushing the hospital to its limits. In order to counteract the negative effects and to specialize and equip the existing hospital in this area as well, the project Ratnanager “Hospital Expansion for Gynaecology and Obstetrics” was initiated by the association Spital Limmattal. The aim of the project is to create a competence centre for gynaecology and obstetrics for the existing hospital in Ratnanager.

IngOG+ accompanies the association Spital Limmattal since 2019 and will support the planning and construction, technically and professionally, as well as the financing of the project. Currently, the needs are being determined in a workshop procedure together with the local partners and doctors. The initial situation is being analysed, so that the planning process can be started afterwards. The aim is to complete the planning in 2020 and start construction in 2021.
